108 Libraries
In the spring of 2001 the association came to the decision to build a small library adjacent to each of the 108 schools. The aim of building the libraries was to create a space where school students could read and do their homework.

The plans also extended to offer adults from surrounding villages the opportunity to learn how to read and write as well. It was also a place where lectures on the environment and hygiene were hosted, for both children and adults.

With SIDA’s support, projects were able to begin in the fall of 2001. In a short time, the lirbaries were built and books in Tibetan, Chinese and English were purchased.

The libraries are an important part of the education of both children and adults. In the fall of 2008, opportunities arose for the libraries, which allowed for the purchase of TVs, DVDs and computers. computer.

If you would like to be involved and help more libraries to have this opportunity, we would be grateful for contributions.
